Job Description
- We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated, sales driven individual who has the drive to close and meet targets to join our inside sales team.
- To be successful as a Business Development Representative, you should have the ability to learn about Altair’s Solution, understand the customers’ needs or pain point and quickly bridge the gap for a win-win solution.
- The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying & developing new customers, communicating with customers, understanding their needs and position Altair’s solutions to drive towards closure and meet targets.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Achieve “Effort” targets & “Sales” targets.
- Calling, Emailing & Following up on the leads or customers is at the heart of this role.
- Learn & understand Altair’s broad portfolio of solutions quickly.
- Learn about the new tools/software’s to enable them with their day to day activity.
- Researching, Identifying and Qualifying new customers where Altair Solutions can be positioned.
- Profiling of customers to get information through calls, emails and tools if required.
- Communication is key aspect from making outbound calls, emails to potential customers and following up with questions and sending additional information required.
- Understanding customers’ needs, identifying sales opportunities and position the right solution.
- Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
- Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
- Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services.
- Staying informed about competing products and services.
- Upselling products and services.
